About Me

Luciano Borges Pereira began his martial arts journey with a strong dedication to judo, where he first developed the discipline and foundation that later shaped his career. Over time, he transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fully committing to the sport and steadily building his reputation through training, competition, and technical refinement.

With decades of experience, Luciano earned his Black Belt under Gracie Barra and has consistently competed at a high level, achieving podium finishes in major international tournaments across different countries and categories.

He holds an active IBJJF ID (298110), which is renewed annually as part of the federation’s official process for maintaining athlete status. This continuous registration—currently valid through 2026—confirms his ongoing eligibility to represent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in IBJJF competitions worldwide.

Since 2022, Luciano has also been a certified instructor through the Gracie Barra Instructor Certification Program (PCI), renewing his certification every year (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025). This credential, under the philosophy of Master Carlos Gracie Jr., demonstrates his alignment with Gracie Barra’s teaching methodology, values, and professional standards.

As both an active competitor and a certified instructor, Luciano represents athletic excellence, discipline, and the educational mission of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, contributing to its growth and recognition on the global stage.
